Stops & activities:
• Discover the vineyard of Montmartre• Cultural and historical explanations of the area
• 2 wines tasted in 2 emblematic wine bars
• Oenological explanations from our expert
• Cured meat and cheese plates paired with the wines
• Visit of the Sacré Coeur Church and an exceptional panorama of Paris
Lovingly captured on canvas by Toulouse Lautrec, Van Gogh, Matisse and more, the hill of
Montmartre is justifiably famous for its resident artists of yesteryear. Less well known, however, is that the iconic district is also home to one of Paris’ last surviving vineyards.
We will explore this vinous connection whilst you walk in the footsteps of the great artists, see the sights that inspired them and discover why Montmartre remains one of the most creative and 'bohemian' locations in the Capital.
Your guide, both an art and wine expert, will take you off the beaten track and through the doorways of Paris’oldest bistros to learn the significance of grape varieties, soil, production and the AOC regional classification system.
Your journey will include a tasting of 2 symbolic wines from three of France's most prestigious wine regions, before arriving at the summit for one of the most spectacular views over Paris.
The wine tastings are complemented with cheese and charcuterie.
